About Us
Safety First was
established in 1990 in Birmingham,
AL as a division of Behavioral
Health Systems, to address the increasing need of
employers to develop and administer substance abuse prevention programs.
Safety First quickly grew from a local entity to a national administrator
of employee-based substance abuse plans with collection sites and SAMHSA
labs located across the United
States. Today, we have more than 15,000
nationwide collection sites
in the Safety First provider network.
